My name is Alan G Pike, I was born in Edgeware in june 1951, the first child to Ida & Cyril, my sister Julie was born 3 years later and in 1958 the family moved to Hemel hempstead, and have lived here ever since. My territory covers nearly all of Hemel Hempstead as well as Redbourn and parts of Berkhamstead, Tring, St Albans, and Dunstable.
I had a basically happy childhood and left school at 16 with 5 GCSE's then started an 5 year apprenticeship as a saw doctor in a local saw mill. After that I did a number of different jobs including time in an iron foundry, and working for the local authority, but my main background is in fitted kitchens & bedrooms, and more recently working in warehousing/logistics
I joined the Territorial Army in 1972, and served for 5 years until in 1977 I married Jo with whom we have just celebrated our Pearl wedding anniversary. I have two daughters Emma (30) and Vicky (27). My interests are playing golf & snooker, quizzes & crossword puzzles, reading & DIY.
